There are so many ways to be heroic. The photo is that of a rare kind of hero. One that understands the true strength of the Lord. One that is willing to put all parts of their life in God's hands. It takes a lot of bravery to let go of the control we exhaust ourselves in and fully trust in the one who created us. This kind of hero demonstrates a high level of self-control, willing to step back from the problems and struggles in life. Surrendering the need to do something about it and let The Lord take the lead.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. ~Psalm 143:8
I believe a Godly hero also fights for those who do not know God. Through prayer and love they fight spiritual battles for those who are bogged down and defeated by sin. They pray for revelation and freedom for those who are bound in chains. They light the way for those who are lost in darkness and unable to find a way out.
"You are the light of the world - like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No on lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house." ~Matthew 5:14
A Godly Hero....
steps out in faith and because of it.
speaks up when they don’t know what to say or could say wrong
boldly steps into who God says they are leaving behind their old identity
faces a painful past so they can receive all that God has for them
responds with love when the other person deserves anything but that
walks toward the calling God placed on their life no matter how impossible it may seem
bravely puts their life in the hands of the one who knows just what to do with it
A Godly hero walks, lives and loves in faith.
Because the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior. ~Jeremiah 20:11
